This is the ideal course to become intensively familiar with the potter's wheel and the process of making pottery from a lump of clay to a finished glazed piece.
In the 3 sessions you will be introduced to the turning technique and learn how to turn and trim on the potter's wheel. From the clay lump, to cantering, shaping, and trimming, as well as different ways to finish. In the last session we will glaze all raw fired pieces. After about 4 weeks you can pick up your first pottery objects (3 to 4 pieces) and take them home.
Chantal Brogini fromStudio à la Cavewill guide you through the basic techniques of ceramic-making.
The workshop includes all materials, tools, and firing. Small snacks and drinks are included.
